Nice pics Gordon. You were lucky...I only had the main eruption...none of those little fires all around. This was a memorable MP flight.

Nice screenies, Gordon! Yep, me like Steve didn't get all that lava bursting everywhere...! In fact I didn't get anything, not even the airports ;D ... it happended that way ago I installed Bill Lyons Golden Haway which reverted FS to the 30s or 40s, without many of todays facilities. The program has a switch to bring to our days easilly but I had totally forgot about that. No biggie, I throughly enjoyed it, really! Now..... things seem to happen for a reason So today I quit the MP after an FS freeze as I was on finals to HI29; Then, I loaded the whole stuff again after waiting some 5 minutes for the system to release the FS task (had to hit the PC reset button!) and loaded FS again, loaded real weather and bang.... it happened again! So tonight, after dinner, I went in to finish this awsome flight on my own. I'm glad I did it as I got some of the most astonishing images I ever saw on FS!It happens that I installed a file called perfect sky... it's a freeware at AvSim; they also have a perfect water pack but that one I didn't like so much so I went back to the latest Peter Wielding pack. Now..... I' just going to post a *few* from the 40+ pics I took! I'll process the others tomorrow... check this!

JP,
Is that Perfect Sky better, or worse on frame rates, than FS9? Is it just clouds, or is it a full weather package?

Very nice shots Joao!
Steve, any replacement textures can potentially increase your frame rates if you're looking at something in the 128x128 or 256x256 range (depending on your setup.) Worth a try, just backup your main texture folder first.
If you're OK with spending a little to get that effect, I highly recommend Active Sky. Besides a huge assortment of custom textures that gave me a substantial frame increase, it's designed to minimize the annoying (and unrealistic) "popping in" of weather systems in FS. You know, you're flying along in clear skies and suddenly you're in the middle of a whole frontal system <L>.

Gordon, great pics of the volcolano Joao, you talked me into it, I'll try the sky program. Awsome sunsets. Aw525 Those are awsome sunsets - and you must see them working! - and the price is unbeatable! ;D Go for it! About frame rates I may later check the enclosed files to see if there's something that can be done about it, like diferent sizes or compressions - since Dan mentioned that he gained performance with Active Sky! later buddies! June flight details coming soon to all Joao
